  11. I just rooted my evo 4g with froyo 2.2, is this compatible with that particular phone? Can you please give me feedback on this before i decide to go through with this, i don't want to do anything i will later be sorry for, thanks!

  12. first you have to make sure the hardware version of your evo, (go into bootloader) then check the supported version for the rom. usually the developers will state which hardware version that their rom supports

  13. I am very new to this and am afraid to brick my phone. I am so unbsure about a lot of things. I am still learning new things about the whole rooting process. I just rooted it tonight. The main reason was for the free wifi tetehring. I am paying Sprint over 30.00 per month just to use the service, and let me tell you, it's not even worth that. I can't even watch online movies, casue the connection breaks every time. It's not all they make it out to be. I tried to root my phone over a month agao, and decided to unroot it due to the fact that i was using the free tethering app on the market, hoewever it would not work, it still don't, but found this other app on the market called barnicle and it seems to work just fine. I don't know what the problem was. I am just inquiirng about this new rom flashing, the most reason why this is done is to get the best use out of your phone, or design it according to what you like, or what best works for you, right? Can you move the cashe to your sd card without flashing any new rom's? Or do you have to flash rom's to make your phone more managemable and free up space, also remove apps you don't want that came with the phone?
So sorry of the long message but want to know before i even chance messing up my phone, I wanna make sure i understand everything loud and clear and make myself as knowlegable as possible. Thanks!

  15. This site for rom's is one of my favorite. Really like that you tell us 2.3 if it's. GINGERBREAD. If you have a certain area for users to help if we see anything not posted I would email & pretty sure others would to, to help keep this even more updated. here is a 2.3.3 Gingerbread sense rom. 24. OK... here are a few here you didn't mention. VaelPak v3.2 RC2 and VaelPak GB AOSP Preview v0.2.2.
I used the v3.2 RC2 when I first rooted. I am know on the PREVIEW GB AOSP v0.2.2. This ROM runs fast and flawlessly. Everything works, including WiFi, GPS, and wireless and wired tether. No apps required for wireless tether. No apps required for CPU settings. Its already built in. Screen off/screen on settings. Choose your governor. Set your undervolting. I am currently sitting at -150 UV with the UVed Tiamat kernel listed below. Packaged with Savage-Zen kernel v2.2, but a lot of us are getting great battery life out of tiamat-evo v3.3.7 sbc+. My screen on cpu is set at 245/614 and about to try lower that to 576. No need for screen off CPU settings with the Tiamat kernel. Still running fast and flawlessly. No lag at startup, no lag at phone ring, no lag at all using Launcher Pro+. This ROM can be found here if interested. http://vaelek.com/

It features 512MB of eDRAM which allows for a smoother experience with Android OS, applications, and the HTC Sense user interface. The device also features 1024MB of built-in ROM which is mainly used for the system software.
